Children in Safe Horizon’s programs come from all different types of backgrounds, but share one thing in common: They have experienced unimaginable abuse and violence. These experiences disrupt their lives both inside and out, and leave them without many of the resources others may take for granted.

What can $24 a month give to children at Safe Horizon? It can...

... buy snacks and meals to feed children who come to our Child Advocacy Centers. Children at our CACs have experienced severe physical and sexual abuse. For some, the snack or meal we give them is the only nourishment they have had in an entire day. Your gift also provides them with books, games, and other educational materials that help nourish their minds.

... give babies and children urgently-needed infant care supplies and clothing at our Domestic Violence Shelters. Children fleeing with their mothers from abusive homes often have nothing else but the clothes they are wearing. Your support means we keep diapers, clothes, bath supplies, and other essentials on hand to help the tiniest victims of violence.

... support children in crisis through our Counseling services, where we provide state-of-the art treatment to help them deal with trauma that has affected their lives. Through our counseling program, children can learn to heal and recover from violence.

... help us reach out to children through our School-Based programs, so they can learn to recognize patterns of abuse and violence in their communities and develop ways to help break the cycle of violence.
